WHY CALABRIA
01 · THE SEA
Three seas in a single land.
Calabria is washed by the Tyrrhenian to the west, the Ionian to the east and the Strait of Messina to the south. 738 kilometres of coastline offer crystal waters ranked among Europe's cleanest, coves reachable only by sea, seabeds rich with posidonia and Mediterranean fauna.
Costa degli Dei, Capo Vaticano, the Arcomagno of San Nicola Arcella: landscapes most international buyers don't yet know exist. FTS 2027 brings the world exactly here — eyes wide open.

02 · THE VILLAGES
Stone, light and three thousand years of history.
Tropea, Scilla, Gerace, Civita, Pentedattilo. Calabrian villages cling to cliffs, drape over rocky plateaus, look out over breathtaking views. Founded by Greeks, conquered by Romans, continuously inhabited for three thousand years — and still largely unknown to international tourism.
Every buyer at FTS 2027 is scheduled for a guided visit to one of these villages: not a transfer, but a destination experience that becomes a concrete commercial proposition.
03 · THE MOUNTAINS
Three national parks. A rare silence.
Calabria is not only sea. The Sila National Park — primordial forest of laricio pines, centuries-old beeches and alpine lakes — is one of Italy's most unspoiled green lungs. Aspromonte National Park conceals deep canyons, hidden waterfalls and Greek villages reachable only on foot. Pollino National Park, Italy's largest, is realm of the loricato pine: the symbolic tree of the ancient South.
Slow tourism, outdoor, wellness, high-altitude agriturismo: international buyers find in Calabria a mountain to discover that doesn't compete with the Alps, but surpasses them in authenticity.

04 · THE TABLE
The richest pantry in the South.
Calabria has one of Italy's strongest and most recognisable gastronomic identities. 'Nduja from Spilinga — spicy spreadable salumi, now exported worldwide — is just the tip of the iceberg. Cedro from the Riviera dei Cedri, bergamot from Reggio Calabria (used in perfumery for centuries), peperoncino from Diamante, Pollino pecorino, liquorice from Rossano Calabro: products found nowhere else.
Calabrian cuisine is UNESCO heritage as part of the Mediterranean Diet. Handmade pasta — fileja, maccheroni al ferretto — with long-cooked ragù. Fresh fish from the Ionian and Tyrrhenian. Extra virgin olive oil among Italy's finest. Native wines like Cirò DOC, produced on the same hills where Greeks cultivated the vine three thousand years ago.
The FTS 2027 opening dinner is an immersive gastronomic experience: local producers, regional chefs, a table that tells Calabria better than any brochure. For international buyers, it's the moment when the destination becomes desire.

THE CONCEPT
A fair that rotates. A South that speaks.
REGIONAL ROTATION
Each FTS edition is hosted by a different southern region: Calabria, Sicily, Apulia, Basilicata, Campania. The cycle runs, then begins again. Calabria opens in 2027.
B2B FORMAT
Three days. 80 exhibitors. 80 international buyers by invitation. Pre-scheduled matchmaking, editorial programme, opening dinner. An event prepared months in advance and remembered for years.
MAGNA GRECIA
The common thread of FTS is Magna Grecia: the historical territory uniting the four host regions. Each edition has a curatorial theme, each guided visit narrates a chapter of this story.
CALENDAR
The 2027 edition takes place in June, the ideal moment for the South ahead of peak season: long light, mild climate, operators available. Three days: 10–12 June 2027.
